In crises such as this one, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are forced to leave our personal data at the entrances of public institutions, as if we have forgotten all about the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR. The question is, who has the insight into the data, which have been vastly collected almost everywhere? Shouldn’t the state have a more sophisticated system of tracking and controlling the citizens, a system concealed within the technological possibilities of the present age? Are these paper records only a formal act of satisfying the current trends of control? Finally, can these records have an aesthetical and artistic value?
